Community Service Program

To a Phi Delt, community service is an essential part of living up to the ideals of the Fraternity. At Missouri Beta we have created events that enable our members to have a positive impact on our community. Beyond chapter projects, individual members can also choose to work with a national organization while others choose to take on local projects.

While we participate in a number of programs throughout the year, below you will find descritions of our key philanthropic activities.

Phi Delta Theta/Kappa Kappa Gamma Easter Egg Hunt

Each year we team up with the women from the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority to host an Easter Egg hunt for the benefit and enjoyment of the children of Fulton. Over 150 children participate in the annual event held on the Westminster College Campus. Last year there were over 1000 Easter Eggs.

Endure for a Cure

Baseball Hall of Famer Lou Gherig was a prominent member of Phi Delta Theta. Every year Phi Delt chapters organize fundraising activities to increase awareness of Lou Gherig's Disease (ALS). At Missouri Beta, each year we organize an basketball tournament. In 2007 our goal was to break the world record for marathon basketball games and to raise $15,000.
